Wednesday Morning News Explosion!

It seems like the gaming gods have conspired to make sure you have plenty to read about this morning.  At least three major news stories have hit the press, and it's only 9 AM as I write this.

Firstly, Twisted Pixel, the studio behind downloadable hits 'Splosion Man, Comic Jumper, and The Maw, has been purchased by Microsoft.  That means all these titles will stay XBox exclusive, and Twisted Pixel will presumably continue working on Kinect games, such as Gunstringer.  Not a big surprise here, and good for the guys at Twisted Pixel for getting theirs.

Next up, Nintendo DS hit Scribblenauts has been ported to iOS.  And it's only $5.  The game is a "Remix" which features 40 levels from Scribblenauts and Super Scribblenauts.  Did I mention it's $25 less than the DS version?  Also, Zombie Bears.

Finally, and perhaps most interestingly, the multiplayer part of Mass Effect 3 has been even further detailed.  According to several outlets, the co-op multiplayer in ME3 will be a wave-based survival mode. So, Horde.  You'll be creating a new character for this mode, and in-game currency you acquire will presumably carry over into the single player campaign.  This sounds...underwhelming.
