Hotness of The Week- Buckle Up!

Seems like every week's a big week here at KGB, doesn't it? Well, that's because we're always working on bringing you new stuff.  Take a peek at what's going on this week! (ooooo that rhymed!)

New Releases:

Dark Souls is out, and everything points to this being the same soul-crushingly difficult game that its spiritual predecessor, Demon's Souls, was.  Despite my best efforts, I'm a little intrigued......

Rage came out, and the reviews are all over the place, with some scores going as high as 9.5, and others screaming for you to run away.

Crysis came out today for download on both XBLA and PSN.

Anybody like basketball? Because NBA 2K12 is out.... oh, you wanted a fun basketball game?  Well in that case, you'll be happy to hear that NBA Jam: On Fire Edition out this week for XBLA and PSN.

 Editorial:

I've started working on one of my many super-secret projects, so you should see the fruits of that soon.

Chris continues to rock out on N64.  Is he writing something about it? Maybe!

We've brought on a new writer.  His identity has to remain a secret for now.  All I can say is that he'll be  handling a new section about awesome cheap games, so look forward to seeing his first writeup sometime soon!

Finally, we've recorded Episode 2 of our podcast, KGB Radio.  We took a lot of feedback, and we think we came back with a much better show!  Additionally we started our first contest, where one person will win a copy of Battlefield 3*.  Check out episode 2 of the podcast for contest rules and how to enter.

* A side note to some of the contest entrants: we need you to join the page if you're going to submit an entry. There are a few really great entries, but some of them aren't from registered members.  I can't send you a PM telling you that you've won if you aren't a member!  Not won't, can't!  So please do that, because we want as many people as possible to have a shot at this contest!

Rock would also appreciate some ideas for
a second or third place prize.....

  1. I wish I could afford Dark Souls right now. I should probably try to make some progress in Demon's Souls first. I introduced Mike to that game originally. All I have to do is mention it and he simultaneously becomes angry and NEEDS to play it.
