I'm Not Dead Yet!: A Requiem for Future US

I think it's safe to say that Known Griefers, as you know and love it, wouldn't exist were it not for the influence of a select few websites. Chief among them being GamesRadar. Founded in 2005, GR quickly found its niche by producing incredibly funny and unique features, not only about games specifically, but also about the act of playing them. Through seemingly divine intervention, GR assembled a dream team of contributors, each with their own unique and hilarious voice. Sadly, things have taken a turn for the worse lately over at GamesRadar, and Future US as a whole.

KGB Top 5: Lightsaber Duels of the Star Wars Saga

Inspired by the recent release of Star Wars: The Old Republic, friend of the site Adam Marcey returns to tell us what's what with those laser swords.

Now let’s get a few things straight. First, I’m talking about lightsaber duels that you see in a live action Star Wars movie, not any of the animated series. Secondly, the prequel trilogy sucked. But all suck-assness aside, there were some great lightsaber duels throughout the entire Star Wars Saga. So here we go.

Resident Evil 6 Confirmed: November 20, 2012

HumorTumor shares his thoughts on today's surprise announcement from Capcom.

Rumor: Resident Evil 6 Announced...to be released...THIS YEAR?!

So for a couple years it's been a fact that Resident Evil 6 was in at least a conceptual stage. Jun Takeuchi, the producer and man in charge of RE5, said himself that RE6 was in the works. And that he would have nothing to do with it. Rightly so, because RE5 is a shit pile for a Resident Evil title. But according to some leaks and rumors....Resident Evil 6 is getting announced today. The extra kicker is it's getting released this November.

X-COM: UFO Defense

When we discuss great games from yesteryear, the list is usually a relatively consistent one, considering the subjective nature of it. We of course talk about our Ocarinas and our Mario Brothers, but there's another subset that seems to exist in a separate realm of its own, the PC game crowd. Games like Baldur's Gate, Starcraft, Fallout 2, Homeworld, and Mechwarrior. They're games that defined an era, and are still heralded as some of the best games to grace the platform.

KGB Top 5: 12 Inches of Snow

We here at KGB like to arrange things. We also like Star Wars, apparently. But this article is about videogames that feature snow in them. Because it's winter. Even though there's no snow outside. Oh well.

Lessons in Futility: Dark Souls

Occasionally, I play something that isn't an unknown indie gem, or an ancient roguelike, or an esoteric simulator. Last year, when I wasn't commanding a city of mountain-dwelling dwarves to their inevitable destruction, I was sinking 300 hours into a game that the majority of people I have met revile with a deep, seething hatred. Those who don't outright loathe it seem to be perplexed by anyone who finds any appeal in the game. There seems to be only a select bastion of staunch supporters, who champion the game as if it is a breath of fresh air in a stagnant market.

I'm that guy. I fucking LOVE Dark Souls.

KGB Game of the Year 2011: Chris Linendoll

Unlike the other editors here at KGB, I found 2011 to be incredibly underwhelming game-wise. Several games came-and-went after huge amounts of fanfare (Is anyone playing Modern Warfare 3?) and I found even more failed to live up to high expectations (Bastion, I still don't get it.) There were a few gems over the past 12 months, and it's actually fairly easy for me to choose my Game of the Year for 2011: L.A. Noire.
