endlessly since it's release more than a decade ago.  In our first Versus feature, Zack Keyes and Rock offer up their thoughts, in what is surely to be a rousing back and forth!  Read on and have your nostalgia validated! Or crushed... Zack is in green, Rock is in blue.

Battlefield 3: Xbox 360 Beta Impression

Every year a military shooter comes out. Every year the market gets more and more over saturated with the samey shooters. Every year people complain about each one, or champion each one as the best of the year (or entire world/time). I only just started playing online shooters last year. Where I introduced myself to Battlefield: Bad Company 2, Halo: Reach, and Call of Duty: Black Ops.

Apparently it was the year of colons....

But seemingly enough, the only title I stayed with was Battlefield.

Resident Evil 4 HD: First Impressions

It's hard to overstate the impact that Resident Evil 4 has had on gaming. From redefining 3rd person gaming, to revitalizing survival horror itself. Shinji Mikami made a modern masterpiece. And although the changes it made to a series I love dearly still bother me, there is no denying this game is one of the best made in the last 10 years. But how has it aged? Read on to see my first feelings...

Update on Batman: Arkham City Exclusive Skins

In a few weeks, I'll be reviewing Batman: Arkham City.  If you've followed the press for the game, you might have seen all the retailer-specific skins that will be available.  I, myself, am incredibly partial to the Batman: The Animated Series skin, which is exclusive to GameStop pre-orders.  In addition to skins for Batman, Robin will be getting his own variant skins, for use in the combat challenges.

I am pretty opposed to retailer-specific DLC, and I already have Amazon Prime, so I resigned myself to just not getting that Animated Series skin that looks so badass.  But while browsing release dates, I came across some good news.  According to a Rocksteady representative, all of the skins will eventually become DLC available to everyone, regardless of where they bought Arkham City from.  I couldn't have been happier. The less money I have to spend at GameStop, the better.

KGB, Now in Your Ears!

Finally, after a lot of hard work, KGB is recording our first podcast, KGB Radio!  This is something that we've planned from the start, with technical aspects that we couldn't possibly have foreseen, but after a long month of planning, it's finally happening. We're all really excited to get this ball rolling. The first cast will be recorded this Friday night, and will feature myself, Chris Linendoll, Zack Keyes, Pat Ronk, and Humor Tumor. I underline recorded, because I can't tell how long it will take to edit and post, but hopefully it'll be up not more than a couple days later.  Stay tuned for more!

Bang, Zoom, Straight to the Moon: Star Fox 64 3D Review

Nostalgia is an iffy thing. Sometimes it is a love that persists through the ages, an endless love. But most of the time, it's merely a trick to ruin memories. Luckily, I've never played a Star Fox game before. Take that, nostalgia!

A Public Service Announcement from KGB

I hope that glue is toxic.
A terrible computer crash has revealed a horrible truth about Known Griefers.

It has come to my attention, through the means of a horrible computer crash that wiped out everything I had, that KGB isn't supported by Internet Explorer.  I was shocked when I navigated to the Known Griefers page, only to be greeted by a horrendous logo, no page tabs, buggy images, and a general lack of pleasantness. We have worked hard to make this site as user-friendly as possible and, I for one, was embarrassed by what this site looked like though IE.  Blogger/ Google has a great service and I don't believe we have any plans to move the site to another service at this time.  Therefore, I implore ALL of you, if you're still using Internet Explorer, to PLEASE download and use Firefox or Google Chrome.  It'll make your internet life much easier. You're welcome.

Failure to Launch: Dead Island on Steam Has a Rough First Day

Inside the Deep Silver offices.
Somehow, the wrong version of Dead Island got pushed to Steam. People started noticing weird issues and glitches in the game, and some horrendous clipping problems.  It was revealed later by Rock, Paper, Shotgun that what ended up on Steam was, in fact, a dev build of the game.  The game has since been patched to what publisher Deep Silver is calling the "full version" of the game.  I started my playthrough this morning, but didn't really notice any issues in my 24 minutes of play.  Later, after I got home from work, I downloaded the patch, and things seem to be going smoothly.  I'll be posting my first impressions tomorrow.  Seriously though, herp fucking derp, how does this happen?  It's not the first time, and one would think that Steam would have a system in place to verify that what they're getting is the release version.  Oh well.

SURPRISE LOVE from Surpriselove

Man, there's truly some weird people on these here Internets.

The game will have you asking lots of questions, about human nature, morality, and the overall balance of good vs. evil. But is it fun? Read on as I try to break it down. No spoilers, super swear.

Street Fighter 3 Third Strike: Online Edition Review

This is an exciting day for KGB. Our new contributor Humor Tumor has whipped up a sweet-ass review for us. Here's hoping it's just one of many!- Rock

Street Fighter 3 is one of those games. A game loved
by pretty much all who played it; it’s depth, the art, the
love put into it. Unfortunately, it was also one of those
games released at the end of the arcade era (in the United States at least), in an already over saturated fighting game market. Because of that, it seemed to be glossed over and forgotten by most. And it now seems Capcom has finally come around to releasing it for today’s crowd, but this time in arcade perfect form.

The Pit of Despair: Gaming Regrets

We've all been here before...
For my triumphant return from the Dark Ages, I've decided to start a new feature about regrets. I'm sure we all have them, but I don't care about sexual indiscretions or binge drinking- we're talking games, dammit! Read on for a (long) tale of adventure, hope, and ultimately, agony.  Let me take you on a journey, dear friends. We're starting out on the KGB Nostalgia Dirigible, but somewhere along the way things go very, very wrong.

OH GOD WHY?! Fight Club: The Game

Another week, another installment of OH GOD WHY?! In which I...aw hell, let's get this over with. This week's piece of horse shit is Fight Club, for the PS2.
