Dark Souls: Rekindling the Flame

As gamers sometimes we go through a period where nothing we play enthralls us like it used to. I've been through it several times myself over the years. In fact I'm in one of those periods now, I have been for a few months. In my excitement about Resident Evil 6, I put all of my hopes into that game, believing in its ability to finally be the RE game this generation deserved. It failed me. And afterwards I got into a funk, nothing seemed to interest me much anymore, it all felt like idle time being wasted. But something recent happened...something that finally got me thinking about a game, and interested in it.

I rekindled a bonfire in Dark Souls.

Cinema Junk: Resident Evil: Retribution

*SPOILERS* As a warning, there are spoilers in this review. More to accent the pure idiocy of the film, and the inconsistencies. As I consider there to be little story anyways I feel it might be a useless warning. But if it's to save someone the grief of walking out of the theatre with $10 less in their wallets going "What in the fuck?!" I feel spoiling this pile of cinematic garbage is worth it.

Operating on Raccoon City: Resident Evil Operation Raccoon City Review

A while back, there were rumors about a new squad-based Resident Evil game. It was to be developed by Slant Six, and would change the pace from survival horror to a more action based game. From my recollection, many fans were revolted by this concept (including yours truly), and by the choice of developer. Practically everyone in the fan community dismissed the game as just a rumor, a misguided concept that would never even be imagined.

We were wrong.
